Marshall A Baldassarre, DMD, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Marshall Baldassarre is a native of Massachusetts. He graduated from Holy Cross college in Worcester Massachusetts, where he received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry. After four years at Holy Cross College he attended Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry for an additional four years. He was awarded his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree (D.M.D.) in May of 1978. He then went on to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University and Tufts University in their three year advanced training program serving his final year as Chief Resident at Boston City Hospital (now Boston Medical Center) and University Hospital. After his training, he spent a year on staff in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department teaching full time.

He taught pre-doctoral dental students basic oral surgical procedures and residents major maxillofacial and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Baldassarre has been in private practice in New Hampshire since 1982 and is on Hospital Staffs at Catholic Medical Center, Elliot Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center. Dr. Baldassarre has served as chief of Oral Surgery & Periodontics and Dentistry at Catholic Medical Center since 1992 and chief of the Department of Oral Surgery & Periodontics and Dentistry at Optima Health Elliot and Catholic Medical Center in Manchester since 1995.

Pamela Z Baldassarre, DMD, Periodontist

Dr. Baldassarre is a native of Framingham, Massachusetts. She graduated form the University of Pennsylvania as a registered Dental Hygienist. Following her training as a dental hygienist she continued her liberal arts education at Boston University. After attending Boston University she then attended the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry. She was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree (D.M.D.) in 1982. She received her CAGS in the Specialty of Periodontology in 1984 from the Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry.

After her training she worked as an assistant clinical instructor in the department of postdoctoral periodontics at Boston University part time. She was in private practice in Framingham, Massachusetts with her father Dr. Eliot Zigelbaum for two years before marrying and moving to Bedford, New Hampshire. Dr. Baldassarre has been in the private practice of Periodontology in Bedford, New Hampshire since 1985.

Currently Dr Baldassarre enjoys leading a Spear Specialty Study Club and being a member of the Spear Faculty Club.

Dr. Baldassarre is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Board of the American College of Dentists, New England Section.  She is the past Delegate at Large of the New Hampshire Dental Society and the Chairperson of the NHDS Political Action Committee. She is pastSecretary/Treasurer for the ADA First Trustee District and Past Chair of the ADA Council on Membership.  She was the first female president of the New Hampshire Dental Society.  She led the statewide task force to work to remove soft drinks from our schools in the state, improving the oral health of our school age students.  The campaign known as “Sip All Day, Get Decay” was very successful.  She served on the Alumni Council for the Boston University Alumni Association.

Advance training certificates have been received for the surgical placement of endosseous implants and the surgical placement of the Goretex membrane. Other significant advanced surgical training programs completed include the use of Goretex membrane for more sophisticated esthetic and reconstructive procedures.

Currently Dr. Baldassarre resides in Bedford, New Hampshire with her husband, Dr. Marshall Baldassarre, and her two children, Laura and Gregory.
